Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale MP David Mundell was 'humbled' after he was awarded the Best Scot at Westminster in the Herald Scottish Politician of the Year Awards.
Mr Mundell received the award for steering the Scotland Bill through the House of Commons earlier this year which has made the Scottish Parliament one of the most powerhouse Parliaments in the world.
Commenting after he received the award, Mr Mundell said: "I was very humbled and surprised when I heard my name announced as the winner of the Best Scot Award at Westminster award.
"It is always nice to see your work being recognised especially when there is a fine balance between being a MP and the Secretary of State but it certainly wasn't something I was expecting at all.
"There have been many fine previous winners of this award so I feel honoured to win this prestigious award."
