Clydesdale MP David Mundell was at Biggar High School on Friday as he tackled a series of tough questions from Higher Modern Studies pupils at the school.
Having given an overview to the pupils of the ever changing political world as well as outlining his work as an MP and Secretary of State for Scotland, Mr Mundell went onto answer questions about everything ranging from Boris Johnson, the planned boundary changes, tuition fees, Brexit and lowering the voting age.
Commenting on the visit, David Mundell MP said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Biggar High School and I was certainly put through my paces by the pupils.
“They had a series of tough questions and no questions were off limit which I think gave them a great insight into my opinions on a wide range of topics which is exactly why I enjoy visiting schools in my constituency.
“The pupils had a fantastic knowledge of politics and I have always said it is very important to engage our youngsters from an early age in the political process which has become even more important at the moment.
“I hope to be able to come back soon to tackle questions from future Modern Studies pupils at Biggar.”
