David Mundell MP saw local exhibits at this year’s Royal Highland Show.
Commenting after visiting the Ingliston event Mr Mundell said: “It was wonderful to see such strong local representation at the Royal Highland Show. I was pleased to talk to local exhibitors as well as representatives of NFU Scotland to discuss issues of concern in the sector, including CAP reform, milk prices and electronic tagging. The RHS is a wonderful occasion and a very important showcase for local farmers. I am delighted that my colleague in the Scottish Parliament Alex Fergusson MSP will be the president Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland next year so that the southwest of Scotland will have an even stronger voice in proceedings.”
