PUPILS at Kelloholm Primary School in Upper Nithsdale have notched up a number of significant successes this year.
They included being awarded their first Eco School Green Flag for environmental efforts and a Digital School Award, a fantastic achievement by their team of digital leaders.
Dropping in to offer his congratulations was Dumfriesshire Clydesdale and Tweeddale MP David Mundell, who is also Secretary of State for Scotland.
After a meeting with head teacher Malcolm McGregor, who was appointed to the post in September, 2017, Mr Mundell, pictured left, was taken on a tour of the school by house captains, left to right, Billy Houston, Beth Smith and Macy Gault.
Mr Mundell said: "I was greatly impressed by pupils and staff at the school and their enthusiasm, which is reflected in their recent excellent achievements."
