Biggar's own Taj Mahal has been nominated by Clydesdale MP David Mundell to take part in the Tiffin Cup competition to find the best South Asian Restaurant in the UK.
Following on from last year's success, MPs have been asked to nominate a restaurant in their constituency as the best South Asian Restaurant in the UK in this mouth-watering competition.
The Tiffin Cup is awarded every year by MPs. The aim is not only to applaud the quality of South Asian food in Britain but also to raise cash for charity. This year, the competition is in aid of the charity "World Vision".
The Grand Final of this year's Tiffin Cup is to be held in the House of Commons in October.
Chair of the Tiffin Club, Keith Vaz MP, said: "After the overwhelming success of last year's competition, we are looking forward to another chance to sample some of the best offering of South Asian food in Britain.
I wish the Taj Mahal the best of luck in the competition!"
Clydesdale MP, David Mundell said: "I am delighted that the Taj has been accepted into this year's Tiffin Cup. Anyone that's been to the Taj and tried the Biggar Bigger Naan will know that it's a great restaurant, and will be a strong contender in the competition.
I am sure that everyone in Clydesdale will be rooting for the Taj Mahal to become the Tiffin Cup 2015 Champions!"
