MP welcomes funding for local Breakfast Club

Tweeddale MP David Mundell has welcomed the news that a primary school in Peeblesshire has received funding from Kellogg's 'Give a Child a Breakfast' initiative. St. Ronan's Primary in Innerleithen was chosen by Kellogg's to receive a £450 grant as part of their campaign to provide breakfast clubs nationwide with the tools to help kick-start a healthy day.

MP presses for improvements to Borders TV

Dumfriesshire MP David Mundell has called for more local content on ITV Border at a recent meeting with ITV Management. Mr Mundell called the meeting with Senior Executives to raise concerns about the level of local news on weekend and late evening bulletins in particular. At the meeting, the MP restated his support for a return to the style of Border TV’s pre merger with Tyne Tees news reporting.
