I am campaigning with local MSP Oliver Mundell to retain the 10.30am and 2.30pm train services from Lockerbie to Edinburgh.
We are writing following the extremely disappointing news that TransPennine have decided to cut the popular 10.30am and 2.30pm train services form Lockerbie Station to Edinburgh from December.
In our view, this decision is short sighted and represents a completely unacceptable revision to the timetable. We are particularly disappointed at the lack of consultation with local people and passengers ahead of making the changes.
While there will be some welcome additional services we see no good reason why trains passing through the town should no longer stop. We are therefore asking for your support in signing the petition below calling on all stakeholders to work together to get our train service back on track.
