Annan Community Education Project has received a £150 boost to their funds, thanks to local MP David Mundell.
The Dumfriesshire MP recently took part in an Ipsos MORI poll, and immediately opted to donate the £150 received for taking part to one of his local charities.
“I regularly use Annan Community Centre for my surgeries, and so, when I received the Ipsos Mori cheque I thought of assisting ACE,” said the MP.
“It is run by a voluntary committee and provides a valuable local facility for the Annan community. I heard they required a new carpet in the centre and so I was delighted to offer my support towards this and their work,” said the MP.

The Annan Community Education Project (ACE) was set up in 1984. It is a registered charity run by a voluntary management committee made up of representatives from user groups and other interested individuals. ACE currently runs a playgroup, a 2 years + group (Busy Bees), a toy library and a 12 + youth group. The centre is also used by Annan After-School Care, A Women's Group, Guides, Brownies and other community lets.
