Tweeddale MP David Mundell has backed plans to secure a replacement scout hall in Peebles, which will also see the utilising of an outdoor space which would also accommodate disabled parking access.
Volunteers have been working over a number of years to upgrade the facility and are now in the final push as they seek to secure funding from One Family Community Awards, in which they have been nominated.
Commenting David Mundell MP said: "I am more than happy to support the Peebles Scout Group, who are led by a wonderful team of volunteers.
"This facility would be of real benefit for youngsters living in the Peebles area and would see years of hard work come to fruition.
"It is vital for communities such as Peebles to have facilities for our youngsters and this Scout Hall is a perfect example of a facility that will greatly enhance the area."
