Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale MP, David Mundell and Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs have joined forces to ‘Make Every Daffodil Count’ this March and help Marie Curie provide care and support to people living with a terminal illness.
Mr Mundell was pictured alongside long-term Marie Curie supporter Jason Isaacs with Marie Curie Nurses, Sally Monger-Godfrey and Lib Wolley at a parliamentary event in Westminster to celebrate the launch of the Great Daffodil Appeal, Marie Curie’s biggest annual fundraising campaign.
Mr Mundell pledged his support to the appeal and is encouraging local people across his constituency to help the charity raise more money than ever before by simply giving a donation and wearing a Marie Curie daffodil pin, available from volunteers across the country, or Superdrug, Spar and Poundworld stores. Morrisons supermarkets will also be holding GDA fundraising collections on 10, 11 & 12 March.
Commenting David Mundell MP said: “I was absolutely delighted to show my support for the Great Daffodil Appeal.
"Marie Curie Nurses and volunteers do fantastic work all year round and I hope my constituents can help raise more money than ever before for this excellent charity by purchasing a daffodil pin.
“The money will go towards helping those living with terminal illnesses and Marie Curie is a charity who I’m very proud to back.”
