Dumfriesshire MP David Mundell has expressed anger as Lockerbie was excluded from a national trains offer from Scotrail and published in a national tabloid.
The full terms and conditions (http://www.scotrail.co.uk/sunofferconditions) say: " Travel is valid between any two stations in Scotland, except to and from Lockerbie."
The case was raised by a concerned local resident, who was dismayed by the decision. The MP has written to rail bosses demanding an explanation.
He said this week: "I am extremely disappointed that Scotrail have excluded Lockerbie, and so many of my constituents, from this travel offer. Scotrail operate Lockerbie Station and are well aware that there is an ongoing campaign to promote rail travel from Lockerbie so I find this omission very strange."
