A LOCAL parliamentarian will be going online next week to answer questions on climate change.
Tweeddale MP David Mundell has accepted an invitation to take part in the virtual Q and A promoted by environmental group Tweedgreen.
He will field questions from members and friends of the Peebles - based campaigning organisation at 2.00 pm on Friday March 12.
Links to the Zoom meeting can be obtained by emailing david.mundell.mp@parliament.uk
The theme will be the UK response to the climate crisis, especially in terms of lessons learned from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr Mundell welcomed the opportunity to speak to the group.
He said: "Tweedgreen are very active in a number of ways and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to speak to members and friends.
"The UK Government is at the forefront of international efforts to combat climate change and in November will host the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, potentially one of the most significant ever."
