Local MP David Mundell is encouraging people in Dumfriesshire to take part in an on-line survey on roads maintenance being conducted by Dumfries & Galloway Council.
The MP said this week: “Roads remain a major issue across Dumfries and Galloway and I am keen that local people make their voice heard in this survey. I continue to campaign for resolutions to specific problems raised by constituents but it is vital that the Council get as full a picture as possible of the local roads network.
“I hope that after assessing the dire state of a number of roads that action can be taken. I understand that the regions roads are still recovering from periods of extreme weather but it is important that the Council plans future improvements based on a full and accurate picture and the only way this can be done is if local residents highlight the outstanding problems.”
