LOCAL MP David Mundell has been 'Wearing it Pink' at Westminster in support of breast cancer causes.
He joined Breast Cancer Now and Breast Cancer Care representatives to promote forthcoming breast cancer awareness month in October.
Mr Mundell, a long-time supporter of the charities, took part in a 'Wear it Pink' event staged at the Houses of Parliament.
He is encouraging groups and individuals in his constituency to support or organise events with 11 already scheduled this year.
Mr Mundell, pictured with a fund-raising ambassador, said: "Breast Cancer Now and Breast Cancer Care have united to offer support from research through to care."
The Dumfriesshire Clydesdale and Tweeddale representative added: "I wish them well with their valuable wide-ranging work, including providing help to people affected by breast cancer in my constituency."
