David Mundell MP joined in the festivities at the Langholm Common Riding last week.
Commenting afterwards he said: “It was a great pleasure to be in the Muckle Toun for the Common Riding festivities. Once again fair weather provided the perfect setting for a wonderful day, very well attended by local people and visitors alike. Congratulations in particular to Cornet Earsman. Events like the Common Riding do not happen without a lot of hard work and organisation by local people and they deserve great credit for the work they do. Our area is very lucky to have such a strong sense of community spirit and it is up to us all to keep it that way.”
