LOCAL MP and Scottish Secretary David Mundell greeted the Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rt. Rev. Susan Brown, pictured, when she made an official visit to London.
The senior figure in the Church of Scotland, who holds office for a year, was following a tradition by staying in the UK capital for a period during the week of St. Andrew's Day.
Mrs Brown, minister of Dornoch Cathedral, recently made an official visit to the Presbytery of Annandale and Eskdale, which covers a large area of Mr Mundell's Dumfriesshire Clydesdale and Tweeddale constituency.
During her London stay, the Moderator took part in a meeting with the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Rt. Hon. Justin Welby, to discuss ongoing partnerships with the Church of England.
She was also guest of honour at a lunch at the Scotland Office in Whitehall.
