Local MP David Mundell has welcomed the opening of a new £9 million primary school for West Linton.
The new school, which can accommodate up to 460 pupils, was opened earlier this week.
The Tweeddale MP said he was delighted that Scottish Borders Council had invested such a large sum on West Linton and the future of local youngsters.
“This new school will ensure that future generations of local children will be taught in high quality facilities during an important formative period of their education. I am glad that Scottish Borders have made such a significant investment in the future of our youngsters,” said Mr Mundell.
