FESTIVE RUSH . . . thousands of letters and parcels have been passing through Annan's busy Royal Mail delivery office each day in the run-up to Christmas.
Dumfriesshire MP and Scottish Secretary David Mundell and MSP Oliver Mundell were up early this week to thank and praise the teams of postmen and women who are ensuring the mail gets through in the town and the large landward area the office serves.
They were shown round by the manager of the Station Road facility, Dermot McCulloch, who said: "It has been a hectic time and everyone has been working very hard. It's always nice when our elected representatives drop in to support the team."
